5.3. Syllabus

Theoretical programme (22.5 hours, 0.9 ECTS). The programme will cover the theory of the subject as follows:

1. Functional questions: a) Personal information (about oneself and about third parties); b) Locations (of people and places); c) Actions, activities and events.

2. Grammatical questions: a) Phonetic aspects concerning vowels and consonants (neutral vowels, o/u neutralisation, the pronunciation of the open and closed “e”, the pronunciation of the open and closed “o”, the silent “s” and the voiced “s”, palatal sounds) and their influence on orthography, b) Orthographical marks. Accentuation. Diaeresis; c) The gender and number of nouns and adjectives; d) Demonstratives and possessives; e) Personal pronouns (general questions); f) Aspects concerning verbs (conjugations, inchoative verbs, the periphrastic perfect); g) Use of prepositions.
